Rooftop Summer Sessions
Officially kicking off summer, this rooftop installment will not disappoint. Celebrations continue for 21 years of Futurehouse on Saturday, June 10th in Long Beach as both So Cal and the Bristol underground will be out in full effect. Andy Compton is as well-versed a producer as they come with more than 135 EPs and 30 albums to his name. He’s not so bad behind the tables either. If you are into West Coast house and you have a pulse, you know who Jamie Thinnes is. For more than 20 years, this guy has been delivering quality sounds and not just behind the decks. His renowned Seasons Recordings and Seasons Limited imprints have churned out more than 200 releases since 1997. In an industry where consistency is fleeting, this is impressive, to say the least. Also on the decks will be DEEP-LA Resident Big Cee and rounding things out, as usual, will be Lillyanne and Hawkeye. Surrounded by stunning views of the Long Beach skyline and the Queen Mary, the setting for this evening could not be more ideal. 21 years of Futurehouse. Shit’s about to get deep.
Andy Compton is one of most prolific producers in house music today, so calling him Crusader of the Grooves isn’t really an exaggeration. Hailing from the UK, this man is loved the world over, especially in South Africa where he has done 20 tours in the last 5 years alone. Help us welcome him back to Futurehouse and see why LA is one of his favorite places to play.
Jamie Thinnes is a household name in the Southern California house scene and has been a staple of the underground in the LA area for two decades. Quality sounds permeate not only his DJ sets, but all of the releases on his renowned label Seasons. We’re looking forward to welcoming Jamie back to the decks on June 10th.
Music has been a part of Big Cee’s life since birth. Those who know the LA underground, know that he is synonymous with it. As Marques Wyatt’s right hand man at DEEP-LA for many years now, Big Cee has played alongside the industry’s biggest names. Catch him outside this time for some vocal, percussive beats.
For more than 20 years, DJ Lillyanne has been the sonic heartbeat of Futurehouse and Headinghome – and for good reason. Her latest residency is at Soulestial Carnival. Always displaying a unique blend of house appealing to connoisseur and newbie alike, catching Lillyanne on her home turf will undoubtedly be special.
Co-Founder of Futurehouse and Headinghome, Leonard Donjuan (aka Hawkeye) has been DJing, producing and promoting parties in Los Angeles for more than 20 years. Don’t miss his set at Summer Sessions.
